After working in sales and marketing at Johnson & Johnson, Melisa began her public relations career securing press and executing strategic programs for brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno, Johnson’s Baby, Givenchy and LVMH.
Her enthusiasm for public relations is what inspired her to establish The MTL Communications Group in 2006. She began by specializing in media relations, and over the years has expanded to include social media management, strategic marketing programs and executive communications coaching. At The MTL Communications Group, she continues to partner with beauty and fashion brands, and has broadened her outreach to include food, financial institutions, authors and influencer marketing.
Melisa’s expertise has been featured in such media outlets as CBS, Redbook, Money For Lunch, The Star-Ledger, 103.5 KTU, Gulfshore Life Business and The New York Times. One of Melisa’s most meaningful personal career achievements came when she was selected to be the cover mom for Working Mother magazine’s Mother’s Day issue, highlighting her entrepreneurial success for managing a start-up company and balancing several charity activities, all while raising twin children. The feature garnered notoriety for Melisa and her clients, giving The MTL Communications Group national exposure as a PR powerhouse.
