The worst mornings are the ones when you can’t figure out what to wear because the weather just isn’t cooperating. While we’re still experiencing this in-between spring and summer weather, we find ourselves asking these common questions each morning:
“Its chilly now, but it will get hot later. Should I be a little cold in the morning so I will be appropriately dressed later?
or
“Wow, it’s way too cold this morning. What if I just layer my outfits and remove the top layer or two as the days goes on?
We have to make sacrifices one way or the other. The girls at MTL voted and we decided that this is the PERFECT weather for a denim jacket. A jacket can still keep you warm, but a light denim jacket will not cause you to over heat. It’ll look great when paired with a dress or skirt and will allow for the most comfort throughout the day. Growing up with Barbie would have sucked big time. She would have probably been the girl who got picked first for kickball, the girl who got elected class president three years in a row, the girl who had a lot of date offers for junior prom. Barbie has it all.
However, Barbie’s credibility as the perfect girl has been compromised due to pictures that appear on Imgur and attributed to Eddi Aguirre. In this picture, Barbie has undergone an extreme make-under. She has freckles, under-eye circles, frizzy hair, acne, and braces.
This is an extreme physical transformation for the 54-year old who has been said to epitomize the perfect woman. The perfect woman whose level of expertise ranges from being an astronaut, nurse, doctor, paratrooper, etc. If Barbie were a real woman, her proportions would be a 39’’ bust, 18’’ waist, and 33’ hips.
Over the years, creators have tried to accommodate Barbie to different audiences. For example, Barbie’s head was shaven in consideration of children who are dealing with hair loss.
While some are pleased with Barbie’s drastic transformation, the reaction has been primarily negative.
“It looks like she’s got an awful hangover or renal failure? Which child could want it?” says one commentator.
Either way, this new look is new for Barbie and shows that under all the glitz and glamour, Barbie is still a normal girl like you and me. So, maybe Barbie doesn’t have it all and that’s okay with us.

A few months ago we kept hearing that superbowl star, Beyonce might be in cahoots with retailer, H&M. As it turns out, those rumors are true!
Beyonce is the confirmed face of H&M’s summer collection. Not only does Beyonce fiercely model these summer must-haves, but she also had input regarding the designs of this summer collection. We will still continue to get inexpensive, quality fashion styles, but now these summer trends will be handpicked and personally influenced by Beyonce.
The line is inspired by the natural elements of fire, water, earth, and wind. These elements along with Beyonce’s new single, Standing on the Sun, will be featured in upcoming commercials for the campaign that is set to hit stores in early May. All that glitters might be gold after all…in the aftermath of an earthquake that is.
This is according to a recent study, led by Dion Weatherley of the University of Queensland in Australia that was published in Nature Geoscience.
According to the study, gold can be formed during an earthquake. A couple of miles beyond the surface, under intensive circumstances, the water is a transport of different elements, gold being among them. During the rattling of an earthquake, ruptures in the ground (also known as faults) widen. Once they are widened, the water vaporizes and silica seeps out which is instrumental in the form of gold and quartz.
Some scientists are not willing to completely embrace this new idea. Jamie Wilkinson, a geochemist at Imperial College of London, who did not partake in the study, said that more in-depth research is needed. This phenomenon has been something that has lingered in the minds of scientists over the years. However, this study’s implications might be a long stretch.
Weatherley also hypothesizes that this study will be conducive to the formation of economic gold deposits. This is because quartz-linked deposits has, in the past, led to famous deposits like the California gold rush.
