Music’s biggest night is this Sunday, and it sounds like the 2013 Grammy Awards have a lot in store for us. Not only can we expect an amazing show from LL Cool J, but there is also word of a tribute to Mark Lavon “Levon” Helm, an American rock musician, who died of throat cancer last April.

Fun., Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean and Kanye West have outdone the 2013 Grammy nominations with six each, but the Black Keys and Miquel are not far behind with five each. You may be thinking, “This year’s nominations are full of men!” But Kelly Clarkson, who has been nominated four times, Taylor Swift, who has received three, and Carly Rae Jepson is not far behind with two.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 8pm on CBS. Curl up with some popcorn and make your own predictions! Enjoy the show!

Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the two younger sisters of Kourtney, Kimberly, and Khloe Kardashian. have announced that they are working on a juniors clothing line. The 15 and 16 year old designers are including t-shirts, pants, shorts, and accessories in their new line. We’re so eager to see what these girls come up with as they plan to launch their new line this spring! We can only infer from this that the Kardashian-Jenner klan is here to stay. Even when some of them seem to be staying out of the limelight, the youngest of the bunch are paving their paths into the industry just like their sisters.

Did you remember to watch the Emmy’s this past Sunday? As usual, it was an exciting show, with lots of great fashion! Here are a couple of our favorite looks!

Ginnifer Goodwin looked amazing at The Emmy’s! The Once Upon a Time actress just seems to have a knack for the vintage look. She looked stunning in her orange Monique Lhuillier gown and Christian Louboutin shoes! Her vintage 1960’s style makeup and adorable pixie cut complimented the look very nicely. Ginnifer presented an award at the show looking just like a princess. She always looks so elegant!

Tina Fey of NBC’S 30 Rock looked awesome at the Emmy’s this year. Everyone’s favorite funny girl dazzled the red carpet in her plum-colored Vivienne Westwood gown. The color of the gown looked perfect against her fair complexion, and the updo she chose made the look very sleek. Tina Fey’s got it all- looks and a sense of humor! We admire her for always being able to look super glamorous!

Nowadays, politics are pretty cutthroat. People can lose friends, or even worse- twitter followers- over conflicting political views. Democrat or republican, blue or red, donkey or elephant, there is something we can all agree on: both potential future first ladies got it goin’ on in the style department! Let’s take a look at their best looks from the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

First Lady Michelle Obama’s iconic look of the Democratic National Convention was her stunning and feminine pink custom made Tracy Reese dress. She paired the dress, which showed off those awesome arms, with J. Crew suede Everly pumps in a pretty pink. The dress is now on high demand by women all over the world waiting anxiously for it to be available for purchase. Will you wear it?

Ann Romney, wife of Republican candidate Mitt Romney went with a more conservative look for the night she gave her speech at the Republican National Convention. Her red Oscar De La Renta dress was extremely flattering and classy, as she showed her stuff and gave her speech before her husband’s supporters. How do you feel about Ann’s pretty Oscar De La Renta Dress?
With the Conventions over, it is now time to wait and see what happens when our next President is announced on that nail-biting Tuesday evening in November. On the bright side, there is one thing we know either way- we will definitely have a fashion-savvy First Lady!

If there’s one thing MTL Communications loves more than doing PR (or at least almost as much), it’s celebrity gossip. And one name that has been thrown around the office more often as of late is our favorite Bella Swan lip-biter, Kristen Stewart. She’s dug quite a hole for herself over the past few weeks. Rumors, then photos, and then finally an admission proved that she had, in fact, cheated on her (former?) boyfriend and Twilight dream boat Robert Pattinson. It’s going to be hard to climb out of this one, what with all the Twi-hards and Rob-lovers and those people who just kind-of-sort-of hate you trying to push you back down. However, there is a light at the end of this tunnel. But it’s going to take a couple of steps to reach it:
Step One: Hire a new publicist
We get it, it was smart to own up to your indiscretion rather than lie and get called out on it and embarrass yourself further. But to then beg Rob to take you back in a public statement and tell him how much you love him? That’s low, and also made it obvious that Rob was no longer speaking to you. Why else would you, notoriously private you, stoop to telling your barely-confirmed boyfriend how much you loved him in the most public of all public statements? May we suggest you switch your representation over to MTL communications once you’ve fired your current team? We even have lawyers who specialize in couple mediation right on call!
Step Two: Choose your battles wisely
Which brings us to our next step. Good for you for not stepping into the melee that is people all over the world speculating whether you only made out with your director or actually slept with him. That’s some dignity you get back. However, now it’s all over the papers how you’re fighting Rob for the control of a dog, and that’s just looking petty. You broke this guy’s heart and now you want to take away his best friend too? You already have the cat, so let it go. Once you’re civil again maybe he’ll give you visitation rights.
Step Three: Stay out of the public eye
That is, unless you have to (the Breaking Dawn: Part 2 press tour is just on the horizon). We know you’re notoriously private, and the fact that the worst decision of your life (after Catch that Kid) is being played out across all forms of media has to suck. But it is your fault after all. Either way, lay as low as is humanly possible. The recluse route is hardly ever a good idea, but when there are not only hoards of paparazzi out there, but also a million and one teenage girls who want to slaughter you for what you did to “their” imaginary boyfriend, it’s probably best to hide out for a while. Unless your vampire-loving fans want to take the “A” from The Scarlett Letter to a whole new, and much more violent and bloody, level.
Step Four: Spend some time alone
Now that you’ve broken up (?) with Rob, this is NOT the time to jump into a new relationship. Yes, we realize you have been in some form of a relationship for somewhere in the realm of the last six years, and being single has to be kind of lonely after that. Now is the time to spend some time getting reacquainted with yourself, and remembering what it’s like to be an individual rather than just one half of “Robsten” or whatever silly celebrity couple name you’ve been called lately. Jumping quickly into a new relationship (especially if it involves your booty-call director Rupert Sanders) will only add fuel to the fire that is burning whatever is left of your reputation.
Step Five: Take a step back and re-evaluate your life and choices
While you’re spending that quality Kristen-to-Kristen time please take a moment to look at your life, look at your choices, and really think about what went wrong here. You were a relatively liked starlet, making tons of money, with a huge fan base and a boyfriend who actually seemed to really love you. And you threw all that away for a not even remotely cute or well-known director – whom you may very well have to work with again. So what drove you to cheat? What could have possibly made you that unhappy that you had to get with your married-with-two-kids director?
In all seriousness, we know you screwed up. Everyone does. But we all still love a redemption story, and if you can somehow make your way back into everyone’s good graces, we will be the first to cheer you on. But as for now… bring on the popcorn!

Walk down the street this summer and the first thing that will catch your eye is the bracelets stacked up on most every woman’s arm from wrist to elbow. Bracelets seem to be this summer’s trend to spice up any outfit, a bathing suit at the beach or a fancy night out in the city. From Hermes and Cartier bracelets to the simple make your own lanyard bracelets, it does not matter the price, they can all be mixed and matched together to make one grand masterpiece. Although gold and silver used to be a fashion faux paux, when it comes to bracelets, the more the merrier, in any shape, size and color. Whether you are preppy, hipster, chic, or trendy, you cannot go wrong this summer with a wrist stacked high with a vast variety of bracelets.

Here are some of our favorites:
This is a great monochromatic blend with a little pop of color from the turquoise beads.
MTV celebrity cutie Lauren Conrad is rocking some super colorful friendship bracelets.

This is by far the best pile up we’ve seen! The mixed metals and textures are fantastic.

Last night, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) hosted their annual awards otherwise known as the “Oscars of Fashion”. Attracting a modge podge of celebrities, models, and fashion insiders, it’s the biggest celebration to honor those behind-the-scenes in the fashion world. Seth Meyers of SNL “Weekend Update” fame hosted the event, while former “Full House” residents Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the awards’ coveted top prize, “Womenswear Designer of the Year”. The full list of awards:

And for a night that truly is all about the fashion, here’s our choices for best dressed of the night:

The night’s big winners looked surprisingly chic and put together in their gowns, both by their own fashion label, “The Row”.

Hilary Rhoda looks beautiful in her perfectly fitted Rebecca Minkoff gown.

Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton looked appropriately goddess-like in her green floor-length gown.

Most moms will tell you that black and blue will make you look like a bruise, but model Jessica Stam looks more drop-dead gorgeous than just drop-dead in her sheer, lacy Jason Wu number.

Zoe Saldana looks both edgy and chic on the arm of designer Prabal Gurung wearing, who else, Prabal Gurung.

While America has been independent for almost 236 years, our interest in all things British has yet to truly fade. Enter the modern British monarchy, which happens to be the source of many Anglophiles’ obsession in recent times. From Princess Dianna to the Duchess Catharine (formerly known as Kate Middleton), the Royal Family has captured our attention and our hearts. And as Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee takes place this summer, it doesn’t look like the fascination will be ending any time soon. Indulge your love in all things British with some British and England-inspired products.

British nail brand Ciaté is maybe not quite so famous as fellow line butterLondon, but it’s quickly gaining ground in the States with its famous “caviar manicure”. Rather than leaving the wearer with just flat, colored nails, the brand offers bottles full of tiny pearl-like objects that, when pressed onto wet nails, give them a 3-D effect. In addition to their standard line up of black, white, and rainbow, the brand has added a red, white and blue one to celebrate this summer’s festivities.

Jack Wills is a clothing company whose preppy, clean-cut fashions are beginning to trickle across the ocean and into our American closets. With everything from sweet, lacy dresses to clean cut blazers to warm and comfy sweaters, this website offers many options for both “ladies” and “gentleman” (as their sections are named on Will’s website). The Icing on top of the perfectly iced cake: free shipping to the US.

On that note, who needs free shipping when Britain’s most famous High Street store is right in your own backyard? With their first major US store now open in the SoHo area of New York City, it’s easier than ever to pick up a little piece of British fashion for your own wardrobe. While sometimes a tad pricy, their clothes are wonderful quality and their famous collaborations (Kate Moss being the most publicity-friendly) are too good not to snap up.
