Show Off Your Summer Style With Gorgeous Nail Shades

Doing your nails is an easy way to update any outfit, and in the summer where people don’t wear much at all, a fun way to show off your style. It can also be relatively inexpensive, especially because you can get many uses out of one small bottle. Many different nail brands put out special collections just for the summer months, and this year has produced some gorgeous shades that would look perfect on your fingers or your toes.
Some of our favorites:

Essie’s “Bikini So Teeny” is a gorgeous cornflower blue that will go with almost any outfit. It packs the perfect amount of sparkle too that will look amazing when the sun catches on your nails.

Chanel is famous for starting huge nail trends whenever a new polish comes out (see: Chanel’s “Jade” and “Particulaire”), so if they keep it up it looks like we’ll be seeing tons of red-orange shades in the future based on their beautiful new summer polish “Holiday”.

Our love for MAC’s “Hey Sailor, Touch of Red” might have more to do with the awesome bottle than the actual shade (unfortunately it won’t paint your nails in perfect stripes), but that being said, it’s a new take on the classic red manicure that leans a little more pink and would look great against tan skin.

butterLONDON is famous for their tongue-in-cheek names and shades, and their “Lillibet’s Jubillee” polish fits in nicely. It celebrates Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, and while this is not your typical summer bright, its paler color will certainly make anyone look a little darker this summer.

But if you like them bright like most summer nail polishes, Orly’s “Beach Cruiser” will out-bright the rest of them. Part of their “Feel the Vibe” collection, it’s one out of a set of four neons that are as neon as neon can get. They will definitely help highlight your nails this summer!
And aside from just nail polish, don’t forget to think about taking your nails to the next level by dabbling in nail art! Nail art has become a huge trend in recent months; you only have to look to the hundreds of Pintrest boards dedicated to collecting new nail art ideas to see how big it is. Just a few examples of the amazing things you can turn your nails into with some polish, a teeny tiny brush, and some pretty steady hands:
