While we love working here at MTL Communications, everyone still loves to dream about vacations. Whether it’s just down to the shore or maybe all the way down to Florida, any time off to sit back and relax is time well-spent. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love dreaming about more…exotic places we’d like to travel, should we ever get the chance. Here are some of our top travel bucket list picks for places we need to vacation.
We’re dying to visit the San Alfonso del Mar resort in Chile, not because of anything special about the hotel, but because of the incredible pool it has! Recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest swimming pool, it is more than 1,000 meters long and cost nearly $1 billion to build! It’s so large that, should you so choose, you can actually go out on it in small boats, and the water is so clear you can see the bottom even in the “deep end” (though this end is deeper than most, at 115 feet!).
The Water Discus Hotel in Dubai is still a work in progress, but we’ve seen the plans and we’re sold! Unlike other underwater hotels that tend to be more single-suite “pods” below the sea, this hotel is entirely connected and also features above-the-ground suites for those who would prefer not to wake up with a shark swimming over their heads. This is the perfect place to get in touch with your inner mermaid.
While vacations tend to bring to mind thoughts of warm weather and sandy beaches, some vacationers might want something a little different for their time off. The Skye Fairy Pools in Scotland are definitely not warm and nowhere near a beach, but are absolutely beautiful. The incredibly blue water against the grey cliffs with those ridiculously vibrant flowers are a sight everyone should see at some point in their life. Though swimming might be out of the question, as that water is freezing! Tinker Bell would approve!
